The Ramkrishna Mission Ashram Narainpur ,Chittisgarh and noted musician A.R.Rehman have been jointly given this year ‘s Indira Gandhi Award for National Integration.

Giving away the Awards in a function organized in New Delhi this evening, Congress President and Chairperson of the advisory committee for the award, Smt.Sonia Gandhi said that both the Award Winners have made remarkable efforts to promote national unity and integrity to which virtues Smt.India Gandhi devoted all her life.

Speaking on this occasion,Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh said that these awards underline the need to fight such forces which come in way of our progress as a nation.
