An interview with CA Viswanathan V a subject matter expert on Business Valuation and Chartered Accountant And Exemplary Entrepreneur

I read that you have been working in the field of Business valuation for many years. How did you get into the world of professional startup valuation?

Business Valuation has always been a big part of my life. I think it was because of the encouragement of my father and my friends. I started following a lot of startups and their valuation journey since my school time. I also read  and research on startups. after college, I qualified my Chartered Accountancy and started my practise and then qualified as Registered Valuer (Securities and Financial Assets) IBBI

People refer to you as an individual with exceptional knowledge on business valuation and startup valuation. Can you explain what that means to you?

My pranams to my guru kanchi maha periyava , and my guru Aswat Damadoran who is a renewed valuation expert 

Virtualauditor was my first valuation exercise that I did , there are many startups in india which need guidance on how valutioon should be done how business due diligence

I am perpetual learner and based on inputs that i have shared a lot of start have been successful

Do you offer any other services other than business valuation and startup consulting ?

Yes , I am a practising chartered account and qualified company secretary we offer many services right form company registration to startup fundraising compliance to audit and taxation

You also collaborated with well-known organisations  on the . How did this collaboration take shape?

One of the  contacts of  Indo French chamber of commerce was in touch , who is of Indian origin, sent me a message on WhatsApp and offered me a collaboration on behalf of the Indo French charmer of commerce. after a few days trip to Bengaluru, i decided to work and collaborate with them

My Interests is on Start-up Valuation and Forensic Audit , passionate about blogging, and sharing knowledge relating to company law, GST, Income Tax, start-up Valuation , Company Valuation

I read in one of the magazines that in addition to being a Chartered Accountant and Registered Valuer , you are a Forensic Auditor and you have created hundreds of jobs. you have even received an honorary doctorate in forensic audit from one of the prestigious universities. which do you prefer? Valuation, Audit, entrepreneurship or forensic Audit!? these activities together do not seem a little strange !?

Entrepreneurship is very enjoyable for me, but that does not mean that i prefer it to the rest of my business. each has its own charm for me. of course, this is not very strange. because i am a certified Fraud examiner from ACFE (USA) my interest were very much into understanding human nature and forensic audits in general
