  • J&K: Anantnag Deputy Commissioner directs officials to ensure arrangements for Amarnath Yatra

    In Jammu and Kashmir, Deputy Commissioner of Anantnag has directed the concerned officials to ensure all the arrangements are put in place by today to ensure smooth conduct of Amarnath Yatra. Deputy Commissioner Anantnag Kuldeep Krishan Sidha chaired a meeting of officers and engineers to finalise the arrangements at transit camp FCI Godown, Mir Bazaar for the upcoming Amarnath Yatra.

    He directed Chief Medical Officer Anantnag and Block Medical Officer Qazigund to establish Medical Aid Camps, MAC with all facilities, equipments and deployment of doctors and paramedical staff at the proposed site. The Executive Engineers of Roads and Buildings, Power Development and Jal Shakti Departments were directed for furnishing three halls with 50 folding beds, uninterrupted power and water supply, installation of wall fans and functioning of wash rooms  besides providing parking facilities for the vehicles near the main gate of FCI Godown.

    The Muncipal Committee and Food & Civil Services & Consumer Affairs were directed to ensure santisation of the entire area and dumping of essential commodities like rice, sugar and LPG respectively. The fire and emergency department was also directed to make available a fire tender at the venue.
