  • Selected teachers will work remotely and can earn competitive compensation

Bangalore: Codingal, India’s leading coding platform for K-12 students, is looking to hire more than 1000 teachers for its platform. The platform is dedicated to building the best-in-class coding education with the world’s first coding curriculum accredited by STEM.org. In addition, the focus on STEAM learning methodology provides a competitive edge for the students to succeed.

The selected teachers will be working remotely and have an opportunity to earn a competitive compensation starting from Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 60,000 depending on the number of classes taken, along with various incentives, referral programs, and mentorships bonuses. The teachers will also have the flexibility to schedule classes and choose grades at their convenience. With transparency and tools to enable successful learning, Codingal envisages students to be the next technology leaders, innovators, artists, entrepreneurs and scientists through a thoughtfully crafted curriculum by leading educators from IITs.

“Codingal is on the path to building a robust passion economy marketplace for coding education that brings together the best-in-class educators and students eager to code. Our goal is to bring in the best education, and hence our instructors are the platform’s backbone. We are looking forward to onboarding 1000 teachers by September 2022 to help Codingal grow further. Codingal will also further train them to improve their teaching efficacy.” said Vivek Prakash, CEO and Co-founder of Codingal.

To enable an immersive teaching and learning experience with in-built video, Codingal makes teaching easy with teaching aids, lesson plans, and schedules easily accessible to teachers. Apart from extensive training to develop teaching and communication skills, the teachers are trained extensively on SOPs and curriculums. Codingal also has an LMS that allows teachers to learn asynchronously.

Reena Arora, a teacher at Codingal, says, “I come with over eight years of teaching experience in other online coding organisations, but the recognition I received at Codingal motivates me every day. I truly feel that Codingal’s work culture is the best I have experienced. I also have full freedom and flexibility to work on my own time. It  allows me to have a great work-life balance.”

Shamama Kamal, another teacher at Codingal, says, “Codingal has provided me a wonderful platform to grow, expand my horizon and accept new challenges. Being a school teacher, there was a limited curriculum that had to be taught to the kids in the field of Computer Science and hence, I also couldn’t widen up my boundaries. But since I have joined codingal, I am completely loving getting my hands back on coding. ”

In September 2021, Codingal raised $1.2 million in its seed funding round led by Y-Combinator, Summer Capital, Rebright Partners, and Day One Syndicate. Codingal reported a 500% growth in 2021 while being present in 20 plus countries with up to 150K registrations. Today, the platform has hundreds of teachers who teach children with classes in every conceivable coding topic, ranging from Scratch and HTML to Python Programming and JavaScript.
