Launch of Movie Nights at Cafe 49, Juhu in association with Shamiana Short

Mumbai : Juhu’s popular and coziest spot and an all-day space, Cafe 49, is all set to launch their first ever Movie Nights in association with Asia’s largest Short Film – Shamiana on 23rd September,2022 – Friday – 8 pm onwards.
From date nights, clubbing, to movie nights, or just chilling, we have our way of enjoying our evening.Well, let’s make your this Friday night a little interesting. Ditch the same old movie night and go for a short film screening. Head to Cafe 49, Juhu in Juhu, and get ready to immerse in the world of exciting series of Short Films along with great food and vibe.
If films and you go well, then nothing should be stopping you from going there. Indulge yourself not in one, nor two but three amazing, and interesting mix of short films this Friday,23rd September from filmmakers across the globe.
The films are going to be screened are:
1. LEELA, is about a girl who is finding happiness and positivity in everything around her with the simple touch of color and creativity despite all the challenges and emptiness in her life. Set in a small town in Spain, the film is a visual treat and an award winning background score makes it even better! The film is from Spain and is for 11 minutes.
2) LA FEMME ET LE TGV, is an Oscar Nominee film of 2019, is about a beautiful and true story between an elderly woman and a TGV train driver out to rediscover and restart her life, telling us that it’s never too late to dream or to aspire. Set in a picturesque small town of Switzerland! One of the best shorts you’ll ever see.
3) DREAMING OF PEGGY LEE, directed by James Everett, is about two children escape their oppressive care home to sneak into a 1940’s Jazz club in London. Broadway style, based on the songs and music of the iconic Peggy Lee. Absolute brilliance!
*Winner – Best live Action short – Chicago International Children’s film festival. The film is from UK and for 14 minutes.
