At the Crans-Montana (Switzerland) campus, the Spring 2023 Open Days are scheduled for 30 and 31 March, 21 and 22 April and 20 May. Concurrently, Open Days at the Marbella, Spain campus will be held on 17 March, 21 April, 26 May and 23 June. In announcing the upcoming Open Days, the CEO of Les Roches, Carlos Díez de la Lastra, explained that “this is the first step for students to take in delving into one of the most exciting industries on the planet. Better-trained professionals are increasingly needed in the hospitality and luxury tourism industry, equipped with qualifications that reflect their skills and knowledge of the sector. Les Roches’ programs are designed to develop talent with values based on multiculturalism, leadership and entrepreneurship. Our job placement rate exceeds 94% and our graduates enjoy tremendous growth opportunities. We currently have 14,000 alumni around the world who are outstanding professionals and managers in the hotel industry and who maintain contact with one another thanks to the alumni association they have created.”
Les Roches’ commitment to education guarantees the employability of its students and this is reflected in the 2022 QS World University Rankings by Subject, which places the school fifth in the world in the employability category and first in Spain, making it a revered institution for recruiting companies. Les Roches’ graduates comprise nearly 100 nationalities and enjoy nearly full insertion into their field of interest by receiving an average of three professional job offers upon completing their studies.
To guarantee a learning system that combines theory with practice, Les Roches is committed to face-to-face teaching. Multicultural coexistence on its campuses is a hallmark of the institution and is one of the principal characteristics that has made it a benchmark for specialized hospitality education. “Face-to-face teaching is part of our DNA. Our students not only learn the best technical concepts while interacting directly with the latest innovations, but they also learn to manage conflicts, deal with teams and gain insight into other cultures and ways of life. This experience is essential if you want to work in an environment as diverse as the hospitality industry. We create a microclimate that encompasses what they are going to see and experience in the real world”, said Carlos Díez de la Lastra.
In addition, in recent years, les Roches has positioned itself at the epicenter of academic progress through Spark, a global innovation ecosystem that naturally integrates tools associated with artificial intelligence and big data into its academic program. Spark is a sphere of innovation that brings disruptive thinking to the industry and inspires students around the world to conceive transformative ideas and startups that respect the principles of sustainable tourism.
Following a collaboration agreement signed last September between Les Roches and the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), of which it has been an Affiliate Member since 2017, the Les Roches and Spark venues are becoming dynamic centers of tourism innovation – where national and foreign companies showcase their proprietary applications, products and services reflecting this approach to the sector – enabling on-site experiences of new technologies.
