  • Mariner of the Seas makes big screen debut in director Aishwarya Rajinikanth Dhanush’s next production ’Vai Raja Vai’

    New Delhi: Royal Caribbean International’s Mariner of the Seas, the largest cruise ship homeporting in Asia, recently served as a shoot location for Aishwarya R. Dhanush next big movie ‘Vai Raja Vai’. Scenes for the movie, which were written and directed by Aishwarya R. Dhanush andproduced by AGS Entertainment, were filmed onboard as the ship sailed a 7 night itinerary across Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

    Vai Raja Vai Crew on board Royal Caribbean International cruiseMariner of the Seas provided the perfect luxurious ambience and a very unique backdrop for the film ‘Vai Raja Vai’, a family entertainer scheduled to release this year.  This is the second film directed by Aishwarya R. Dhanush, daughter of Superstar Rajinikanth, wife of Dhanush and Director of “3” of Why This Kolaveri Fame and this project is further supported by one of the leading production houses of the Tamil industry, AGS entertainment. The impressive cast includes Gautam Karthik, son of veteran actor Karthik and who made his debut with Mani Ratnam’s Kadal, Priya Anand, leading comedian Vivek, Taapsee Pannu, Daniel Balaji, Manobala, Sathish and MS Bhaskar amongst others.

    The team of Vai Raja Vai enjoyed the various amenities onboard including the signature Royal Promenade, mini golf, rock-wall, a repertoire of 17 bars and lounges and entertainment venues spanning the lavish casino to various theatrical shows onboard. The entire crew could be seen thoroughly enjoying the Royal Caribbean experience partaking in various activities onboard including the DreamWorks characters parade, working out at the gym which overlooks the sea, movies under the stars at the ships expansive pool deck, indulging in sumptuous cuisine at the many dining venues onboard and enjoying the casino, when they were not shooting.
