  • Marks & Spencer London Madras Couture Fashion Week – 2015

    Marks & Spencer Madras Couture Fashion Week was conceptualised to envisage, promote and address the Chennai based fashion Show-stopper---Shubra-AiyapIndustry. It is one of the very few fashion platforms in the Indian fashion fraternity that provides an opportunity and an exclusive platform for upcoming designers and students who have completed their fashion designing course. With the primary objective of fabricating a platform for budding designers to showcase creations, they also focus on building business opportunities, relationships and growth in the Chennai fashion industry. MCFW is aimed at gathering young aspiring fashion designers and giving them an opportunity to showcase their talent in front of critics and experts in and around Chennai.

    The title sponsor for this event is MARKS & SPENCER, quintessentially British brand that encompasses modern British style though its trend aware, sophisticated and innovative fashion collections. The Finale of the MCFW by M&S brought a flavour of London to Chennai with themed set up and contemporary styling creating a glamorous and chic evening.

    The Marks & Spencer fashion show kick started with a line up from the casual collection, highlighting the theme modern romance, presenting brushed check shirts for men; while the female models strutted in Indigo Trans collection coordinated with popping limes. One of the interesting combinations was a striking mustard yellow shirt paired up with denim jacket and jeans. This was followed by the models cat walking in a formal collection from M&S showcasing the rouge theme inspired stylish work wear in bright reds, pinks and coral colors with elegant prints for women. The show was concluded with South Indian sensation Shubhra Aiyappa walking the ramp in an M&S collection pink dress as the showstopper for the Finale.

    Today’s line-up included showcase from Sumathi & Chitra, Aayaaz-Ram-Niveta and Jayasubeishaa, with super models like like Pranali Wadaskar, Sameera Khan, Sneha Thakur, Rakshitha walking the ramp. Mrs Chitra Devi Ramiah, Consul General, Consulate General of Malaysia was the Guest of Honour for the day. Top Celebrities, Socialites and several personalities like Parvathy, Rethika, Riaz Khan and Sanam Shetty attended attend the event.

    Apart from international brand like Marks & Spencer who showcased their latest collection, Zaamor.com by VBJ and Ethnic Jewellers will showcase their theme collections to the audience and present their fine and trendy wedding collection jewellery serving to the niche market, these labels

    maintain the workmanship exclusivity in both designer pieces and ready to wear range. This two day event is only by invitation and open only to special invitees and elite cream of Chennai.
