In Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB), Katra is going to achieve yet another distinction of showcasing live Aarti from Shri Mata Vaishnodevi Bhawan at Spiritual Growth Centre for its visitors who cannot make it to the Mata’s Bhawan during their visit to shrine.

Jammu, Chief Executive Officer Shrine Board Romesh Kumar said that the efforts of Shrine Board have been to provide maximum facilities to the visiting pilgrims to the Holy Cave Shrine besides facilitating live telecast or broadcast for quenching the spiritual thirst of lakhs of devotes, who cannot make it to the Mata’s Bhawan.

It is pertinent to note that the cave shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi recorded 7.95 million devotees visiting the cave shrine in 2019. From 1.3 million in 1986, when the board took over the affairs of the shrine for better management, there has been a steady increase in footfalls every year, touching the all-time high of 10.4 million in 2012.
