In Jammu and Kashmir, the pilgrimage to the world famous cave shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi yesterday broke the previous record of 1 crore 1 lakh. This year’s yatra figure so far has recorded an increase of 3000 over that of last year which is unprecedented.

With a fortnight still left this year, the pilgrimage is expected to be around 1 crore 4 lakh. This is the second year in a row that the pilgrimage to Mata Vaishno Deviji has crossed the 10 million figure.
