Indian wedding is no longer just about food, dresses, dance and rituals; it’s also about setting it up at an exotic destination, a unique locale. Destination wedding has become very popular amongst Indians. In an initiative to promote Mauritius as a preferred wedding destination, Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority organized a FAM trip for Wedding Planners from India in the month of August 2014 and offered them an opportunity to view and experience Mauritius as an option for holding a wedding.  Mauritius is a spectacular island of white-sand beaches, turquoise sea, lush green landscape and beautiful mountains that seem to rise up from the crystal clear waters of the Indian Ocean. The incredible natural beauty of Mauritius is complemented by some of the best and most luxurious seaside hotels and resorts which offer excellent service and facilities in a stunning, sun-drenched background – where the tropical wedding that one always dreamt of can be brought to reality with perfection. The Wedding planners who we had as guests on the trip were Mr Nihal Thomas from MyShaadiWale.com, Bengaluru,  Mr Udesh Kejriwal from Arika Tour & Travels Pvt.Ltd, Mumbai, Mr Satish Ramnani from Veydaa Events Pvt Ltd., Kolkata and Ms Gunjan Bansal from L’amore Weddings, Mr Chetan Vohra from WeddingLine  and Mr Amrish Pershad from BnB Events  were from Delhi.

We are happy to announce that all of them found the trip, an excellent attempt by MTPA in showcasing the island as a dream wedding destination.
