  • Messe Frankfurt launches trade show in collaboration with ELCOMA

    New Delhi:  Messe Frankfurt, the largest trade exhibition organizers, announced a curtain raiser of the leading energy efficiency and smart grids trade exhibition, “Light + Building” to be held in Oct’2012. Messe Frankfurt in its initiative to organize the premiere exhibition dedicated to innovations pertaining to the energy sector has joined hands with the Electric Lamp and Component Manufacturer’s Association of India, ELCOMA.

    Energy efficiency is the most important bridging technology when it comes to achieving the energy turnaround. With a 40 percent share in total energy consumption, the building sector still has great savings potential. The emphasis here is on developing buildings, which currently devour huge amounts of energy, into intelligently working, efficient users, storers and generators of energy. The building becomes a green power station.

    According to Ms.Iris , Senior Vice President , Techinical Fairs ,Messe Frankfurt “Light + Building, the expo will be a one stop platform that will showcase a veritable range of innovations in the field of power and energy market, focusing on LED and OLED”.

    On ELCOMA’s association with Messe Frankfurt, present at the event, Mr. HS Mamak, Advisor, ELCOMA & Indian Society of Lighting Engineers said, “ELCOMA is the apex body of Lighting and finds an excellent match in its new relationship with Messe Frankfurt who is the largest exhibition organizers in the world.”

    Further encapsulating the trend of the industry he said “The lighting industry which has a turnover of around INR 8,000 Crores recognizes its socio economic responsibility in providing products and systems that meet a carbon footprint to save a large quantity of energy.”

    Light India in October 2012 will once again provide a platform for the world players in lighting to display and demonstrate their latest developments, the future trend in technology and the large available range of products to meet every conceivable application in lighting. This will be a meeting ground for international producers, policy makers, specifiers and customers. We expect this to also show-case India to the world of lighting.
