New Delhi ; In Uttarakhand, intermittent rain in high altitude areas and other parts of the state is being experienced since morning. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy rain, likely to occur at isolated places especially in hill and border districts of Nainital, Tehri, Champawat, Pithoragarh and Uttarkashi in the next 24 hours. Keeping in view of the MeT Dept alert all District Magistrates of the respective district have been asked to remain alert and to take all precautionary measures. People living in low lying areas near the rivers have been asked to move to safer places. Meanwhile, Char Dham yatra and Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is going on uninterrupted.
