MIST (Maya In-studio Training) is celebrating their first anniversary after successfully completing one year of academic excellence with 340 enrolled interns from various cities. MIST is a first of its kind initiative by leading Indian animation studio, Maya Digital Studios of Mr. Ketan Mehta, which provides young professionals an opportunity to work on live projects during the formative years of their career.

“I am very proud to celebrate the first MIST anniversary. At Maya we’ve always evolved with the times and kept pace with the best in the global trends in the animation & visual effects industry. Keeping in sync with this idea, we started the learner’s course last year and received very good response. Over the past year we have trained over 300 students and have provided them opportunities to work on projects from big firms such as Disney”, said Mr. Ketan Mehta, the promoter and founder of Maya Digital Studios.

Studying at MIST is a completely different experience.  While students study in studio they are simultaneously working on some big project of Maya Digital studio to get real life work experience, which also helps in enhancing their skill and making them studio ready.

Speaking on this occasion, Ms. Aruna Kumar, head of MIST& the Studio Operations stated, “Animation industry is in a phase where a candidate wants to learn animation as a 1st choice and not as an alternative career. With Maya bagging the sign up on floor for Disney-VIR, the interns/students will get the opportunity to work on Maya’s next big and upcoming projects. I wish our interns a very good luck and hope that we, as an organization, will be able to keep up with the good work and hope to see many more anniversaries like this in future”.
