  • MTDC celebrates World Tourism Day on 27th September 2012 with a big bustle

    Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) gives free entry to tourists across the globe to its pristine water park in Karla under the realm of World Tourism Day on 27thSeptember 2012. The initiative celebrates the spirit of World Tourism Day and the unlimited tourism potential of Maharashtra Tourism.

    The guests visiting MTDC resorts on World Tourism Day all over Maharashtra will be gifted with special souvenirs and gift hampers that will resonate in the memory of visitors as an enthralling day of fun and frolics.

    Under the aegis of World Tourism Day Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) has also announced a photography and videography competition for tourism enthusiasts and photographers alike. The regional offices will conduct this competition in the respective regions of Mumbai, Pune, Ratnagiri, Nashik, Aurangabad and Nagpur.  Winners in both categories will be awarded cash prizes with 39,000 rupees.

    Dr. JagdishPatil, Managing Director, MTDC, said, “We are proud to be a part of the World Tourism Day festivities, we have organized a one day free entry in our Karla  water park to celebrate the essence of World Tourism Day. The regional photo and video competition will bring to fore the untapped beauty and unlimited tourism potential of the state. The entries are limited to capacity of the water park and will be on first come first serve basis. Maharashtra is truly a global destination and we are looking forward to propagating this message forward”
