Bangalore : Muthoot Precious Metals Corporation (MPMC), one of the divisions of The Muthoot Group, today launched its new engraved gold coin – the Mecca Medina with holy number 786 imprint. The coin was unveiled by Mr. M.G George Muthoot (Chairman, The Muthoot Group), Mr. George Alexander Muthoot (MD, The Muthoot Group), Mr. Alexander George Muthoot (Director, The Muthoot Group), Mr. George Muthoot Jacob (Director, The Muthoot Group) and Mr. Eapen Alexander Muthoot (Director, The Muthoot Group).

Speaking on the occasion, Shri M.G. George Muthoot, Chairman, The Muthoot Group said: “This year, our aim was to add a new repertoire of engraved gold coin and the Mecca Medina with holy number 786 imprint was the unanimous choice. The engraved gold coin exemplifies the holiest city and the auspicious number in the Islamic religion. Besides having a sentimental and religious value, it is an ideal gift for marriages, an addition to the family heirloom and a collector’s item.”

The 24 carat gold coin with 999 purity comes in 2gms, 4gms and 8gms denomination in a temper proof blister packing. It is an addition to the MPMC’s gamut of ethnic engraved gold coins. Currently, MPMC has over 14 engraved gold coins that includes Lord Ganapati, Goddess Laxmi, Lord Padmanabha, Lord Ayappa, Shri Balaji, Lord Unnikrishnan, Lord Shivaji, Golden Temple, St. Alphonsa, St. Gregarious, Velankanni Mata, Mother Mary and St. George among others. The gold coins are competitively priced as per the rates prevailing on the International Bullion Market on a day to day basis. There is no premium on these gold coins.
