  • Namaste America & St. Angelo’s Professional Education support for Indian youth in their pursuit of academic excellence in the US

    Namaste America (NA) a social organization in collaboration with St. Angelo’s Professional Education has initiated to extend assistance to the academically brilliant but financially challenged students of the society for education in USA.

    This was announced at a special function held by Namaste America and American Alumni Association (AAA) where Deanna Hanek Abdeen, Consular Section Chief of the American consulate, was the Chief Guest. A host of prominent personalities including Mr. Agnelorajesh Athaide , CMD, St. Angelo’s, alumni from American universities who are part of the Indian corporate sector, Industrialists, Business leaders, Members of the Consular Corps, Expatriates were present on the occasion.

    For the last 32 years, AAA has supported over 350 students by awarding them INR 1 lac each. The AAA is registered as a charitable organization founded in 1968 for the sole purpose of raising funds to provide grants to highly qualified students, who have been accepted for advanced studies in the US Universities of note but do not have the financial means to pursue the same.

    The students are chosen on the basis of academic excellence and financial need.  Other considerations such as stature of the University and relevance of the program to India are also considered.  This year the range of applicants varied from students studying Urban Planning, Architecture, Clean Energy and Medicine.

    ”As socially responsible individuals and Corporate Houses, we feel that it is our duty to contribute our might for the lesser privileged section of the society/. This year St. Angelos Professional Education Support has joined hands with Namaste America and AAA to be a part of this noble cause and to aid the batch of deserving students to fulfill their academic aspirations” said Agnelo rajesh athaide, CMD of St. Angelo’s, the Institution known for imparting for technology and management education.
