  • New Silk Route Expands Leadership Team with Addition of Global Healthcare Industry Veteran Supratim Bose as Partner

    United States: New Silk Route, a leading Asia-focused private equity and growth capital firm focused on investing in private companies in the Indian sub-continent and other rapidly growing economies of south Asia, today announced that Supratim Bose has joined the firm as Partner. Based in Singapore, Mr. Bose will be responsible for sourcing investments and building a robust healthcare platform in Asia.

    Mr. Bose joins New Silk Route from Bose Consulting Group, where he specialized in strategic management consulting services for the healthcare industry as founder and CEO. Prior to founding his own consulting firm, Mr. Bose served for 28 years with Johnson & Johnson Inc, and since 2003 was a member of the Worldwide Group Operating Committee Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices & Diagnostics Group, as Company Group Chairman. While at Johnson & Johnson, he pioneered the entry, designed the market creation strategies and led the growth of J&J Medical Devices & Diagnostics companies in all Asia-Pacific markets including emerging markets like China, India & Vietnam. Mr. Bose was also instrumental in implementing the strategy of Market Appropriate Products in Asia and setting up the first R&D and Product Development Centre in the region to develop products to meet the needs of Asian patients and surgeons, leading to the launch of several products tailored for emerging markets.

    Mr. Bose is a member of the Board of Quattro Vascular Pte Ltd and Trireme Medical, served Singapore Management University as a member of the Advisory Board of the Lee Kong Chian School of Business and teaches in Nanyang Business School as visiting faculty. A native of Mumbai, India, Supratim earned a B.Sc. degree in Chemistry/Physics,an M.Sc. degree in Biophysics and a MMS (Master of Management Studies) degree from the Jamnalal Institute of Management Studies, University of Bombay.
