Mumbai: As  a part of its year end programming, NewsX shall air ‘Businessman of the Year’, a special show honoring the plans and contribution of the greatest Business mind of the year 2010- Mr. Shiv Nadar, Chairman, HCL Technologies.

In a freewheeling discussion with Mr. Jehangir S. Pocha, Co- founder, NewsX, Mr. Shiv Nadar shares insights on his professional & personal life. While everyone is aware of his business strides, not all are privy to his philanthropic one.- The 10% contribution of his personal wealth towards the welfare of the society, which he explains with humility, “The inspiration was from my Mother, who always used to have some amount saved to give, even during hard times…” .

On his meeting with Bill Gates, Mr. Nadar commented, “Bill can be very, very inspiring to talk to because he took the station early, lives by it and works on it and has a great enthusiasm for it. I have seen him as a CEO and I have seen him in the TOP CEO circle and then I see him in a dinner with just over 6 people in a room and here all his attention for three hours is just on philanthropy.”

Mr. Nadar further talks about his path to progress, the various institutions started by him and throws light on his expansion plans for HCL Technologies in the forthcoming years.
