Eligibility

The applicant should:

Graduates in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in graduation (Or equivalent 5.0 CGPA), are eligible to apply

Students in final year of graduation can also apply subject to securing minimum 50% marks in their graduation

Selection Process

The selection process consists of an application form, an aptitude test, a communication proficiency test, a presentation and personal interview. Industry representatives participate actively in the selection process. Candidates are required to fill an application form and need to appear for NIIT University Management Aptitude Test (NUMAT), an online assessment test of 90 minutes.  Those candidates who possess a valid CAT/MAT/CMAT/XAT or GMAT score are exempted. Eligible applicants usually go through all selection activities on the same day at one of the pan-India venues specified.

Scholarships

NIIT University Global Professional Scholarships-NUGPS is an initiative sponsored by industry to nurture excellence among MBA aspirants. It is a liberal financial assistance scheme exclusively for MBA students of NIIT University. The scheme provides financial assistance of Rs 4, 50,000 to each awardee over the period of 2 year, credited directly to the University and adjusted against MBA fees. Students are required to maintain the minimum academic grades required for graduation, and have no disciplinary proceedings. There are no conditions related to subsequent employment. It is expected that every candidate selected for the MBA program will also receive the NUGPS award.

How to Apply

Step 1: Applicants are required to submit the duly completed Admission Application form in any of the following ways:

1.       Online application form available on the NU website: www.niituniversity.in.

2.       By completing a physical (hard-copy)Application Form, together with Application Processing Fees of Rs 1500/-

Step 2:  Please refer to NU website for Admission Interview Process (AIP) as various options are available. Selection decisions will normally be communicated within 72 hours after AIP.

Step 3:  Selected candidates are required to convey their Acceptance within 5 days of receiving the receipt from the selection officer. They need to pay the Acceptance Fee of Rs 20,000

Step 4:  Candidates who have accepted the Offer of Admission are required to enroll for the program by paying the first tranche of tuition fees

Course Content

The MBA Program at NU demands and encourages the students to explore and connect with the multiple dimensions of today’s business environment. The two-year MBA Program consists of six trimesters of 12 weeks each and a summer term at the end of the first year, totalling a minimum credit weightage of 120 credits.

Highlights

International Immersion Program: An intense and supervised exposure, of about 3-weeks duration, to the economy and industry of an emerging economy, is an optional add-on to the MBA. This not only helps to acquire a global perspective, but also develops the ability to survive, learn and grow in an unfamiliar locale. Past students have gone through immersion in Nanjing, Beijing and Shanghai in China.

Industry–Linked MBA: NU’s collaborating industries play a key role in the design and conduct program and internship. Many unique features of this MBA are possible because of the support provided by the industry partners.

The Mentorship Program: Every MBA student is guided by a mentor who is a corporate leader of eminence, usually a CXO of a reputed corporation. As mentors share their experience with students through scheduled interactions, students discover top-level decision-making perspectives, the nuances of real-life corporate excellence and accelerate their own integration into industry. This is a truly unique initiative that has been successfully implemented for the last 4 years.

True-to-life projects- The 3 term-length projects in the program are drawn from real-life situations, including one drawn from the NGO space. The emphasis on projects and 8-week internship serves to make the student industry-ready.
