  • No Change In NEET UG 2021 Exam Pattern: Relief For Aspirants

    Published on March 4, 2021

NEET 2021 is a national level entrance test conducted every year in an offline mode to facilitate admissions to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, BVSc and AH seats across India.

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) for admission to medical colleges will have no changes this year.

Earlier, education minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said that the authorities are mulling over conducting NEET 2021 twice a year in online mode.

The ministry of education wanted the medical entrance exam to be held more than once a year and on computers, but a consensus could not be reached with the ministry of health on time. However, now the medical entrance test will be conducted in pen and paper mode. The official NEET 2021 dates are not yet announced by the NTA, though it is speculated that the national level entrance exam will be held in June or July after the CBSE board exams are concluded.

No change in NEET UG 2021 exam pattern will be a relief for the aspirants. The reason being that the coronavirus pandemic had already had a devastating impact on the academic calendar. The students got less time for studying and hence found themselves in a tough spot as they were also burdened with the pressure of the pandemic.

Commenting on this Mr. Gaurav Tyagi, Founder- Career Xpert said, “NEET UG should be conducted twice a year reason being the students who fails in first attempt must not wait the entire year to attempt the examination again. The changes in exam pattern should not be made now as it would be unfair for aspirants. Also, the further delay in NEET UG 2021 shall adversely affect the upcoming session”.
