Hyderabad: Ram Madhav, Founder of Pragna Bharati and BJP National General Secretary addressed a Talk, CAA-Why India Needs It, here in the city today evening at Hotel Marriott International, Lower Tankbund.

The talk was organised jointly by Pragna Bharati and Social Cause.

Speaking Ram Madhav said “No Indians, irrespective of Religion as long as they are genuine citizens need not worry about Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA)”.

He also said “no person irrespective of religion who is not a genuine citizens of this country  will not be spared”.

Thanking for the beautiful memento comprised of pics from few regions of J&K presented to him, Ram Madhav said let me use this opportunity to appeal to you that whenever you plan next vacation, please go to Srinagar, if you want to go to pilgrimage, please plan to Amarnath and Srivaishnavi Devi. If you are looking for a beautiful destination for your Honeymoon, go to Gulmarg, he told the audience amidst peals of laughter.

The protestors who are protesting against CAA do not know why they are protesting. Some protestors do not even want to know why they are protesting. Others can’t know about anything. Few of our present opposition leaders are “knowledge proof leaders”, like a “water proof watches” which I used to admire in my early childhood, said Ram Madhav

Opposition claims that if people are not opposing the Act how come so many are  participating in the protests. If opposition wants to go with numbers, let them know that 90 per cent of Indian population stands for CAA. We care for remaining 10%. They need to understand CAA, he declared

CAA doesn’t discriminate any on the basis of Religion, Race, and Caste. All they need is they have to fulfill the criteria.

India is a secular country. We granted citizenship to Adnan Sami, Sonia Gandhi. No Indian Citizen needs to worry. The CAA Act is not against any provisions of Indian Constitution. The government is committed in letter and spirit to Indian Constitution. We have taken the decision on some historical considerations, Ram Madhav clarified.

BJP is not divisive party unlike opposition is trying to portray. On the contrary, congress is one such party he said.

India is a signatory with Pakistan in 1950 and both countries mutually agreed that they do not expel minorities. That was a good move. Both countries agreed to protect respect, dignity and equal opportunities to all. But, Pak went on to become Islamic Republic in 1956. Where as,  India adopted a secular constitution.

Unfortunately Congress leaders don’t read and just spread misinformation and confusing people. We are completing the unfinished agenda of the previous governments, he said

Ram Madhav speaking further added that debate on CAA is useless. India is a heaven of diversity. People of all walks co live here. Opposition must stop this false propaganda, he said.

He concluded his talk by reiterating  “No Indians, irrespective of Religion as long as they are genuine citizens need not worry about Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA).

Further he emphasized that no person irrespective of religion who is not a genuine citizens of this country  will not be spared.

Answering to a question what if states refuse to accept and implant the act, Ram Madhav said, states can’t refuse it, only leaders are refusing.

Replying to another question if the government failed to take enough precaution, similar to what they have done before scrapping of 370 Article or Verdict of Ayodhya Case, Ram Madhav said though we have taken adequate precautions, we probably underestimated the mischief of our opposition leaders.

The Parliament had passed Citizenship Amendment Act after a detailed discussion and the President has given his assent. But, suddenly after the passage of the act, several political parties and other organisations started violent agitations, against this Act, creating several rumours and myths on the act.

Although this act has got nothing to do with any Indian citizen, the opponents have been trying to mislead the nation stating that it is against a particular community in the country, which would be forced to lose their citizenship.

To clear such mischievous propaganda and also explain on the historical need of the act, Pragna Bharati and Social Cause have organised a meeting in Hyderabad to explain why India needs CAA.

BJP National General Secretary Ram Madhav spoke on the issue for about an hour. He addressed the jam packed convention hall, with over 1500

Pragna Bharati Chairman Dr T Hanuman Chowdary presided over the meeting.

Dr L Rajabhaskar Reddy, President Pragna Bharati and Dr B Dinesh Kumar, President, Social Cause who spoke on the occasion, appealed to the citizens of Hyderabad to listen and get clarified their doubts on this Act.

Former CBI Officer Lakshminarayana; Vice Chancelor of Nalanda University,

Prof. Sunaina Singh; Former Director General of Police, Arvind Rao among many others attended the talk.
