  • Nuziveedu Seeds receives ‘Bio Excellence Award for 2013’ from Govt of Karnataka

    Hyderabad :  Nuziveedu Seeds Limited, the largest Indian Seeds company has received ‘Bio Excellence Award for the year 2013’ Nuziveedu seedsfrom the Department of Information Technology, Biotechnology and Science & Technology, Government of Karnataka. Mr. M Prabhakar Rao, Chairman & Managing Director, Nuziveedu Seeds Limited received the award in the presence of Nobel Laureate (2012) Professor Sir John Gurdon at an award ceremony held as part of the ‘Bangalore India BIO 2014’ event in Bengaluru.

    As part of the ‘Bangalore India BIO’ event, Bio-Excellence Awards were presented to the Biotech leaders for their outstanding achievements in the Biotech sector. The Bio-Excellence Awardees are selected by a Jury of Industry Experts constituted by Association of Biotechnology Led Enterprises (ABLE).

    Speaking about the honour, Mr Prabhakar Rao, Chairman & Managing Director, Nuizveedu Seeds Limited, said “we are proud to be honored with ‘Bio Excellence Award 2013’ from the Government of Karnataka. We attribute this success largely on the emphasis we place on research and innovation in our company. Nuziveedu Seeds has made giant strides in the last decade with a distinctive and well defined focus on introducing new hybrids in cotton, corn, rice and vegetables that benefit – farmers significantly through higher yields and superior quality produce.

    For several years, Nuziveedu Seeds has been the market leader in the Bt cotton seed segment. Company offers more than 340 hybrid seeds and varieties of 30 field crops and vegetables to Indian farmers through its extensive sales and distribution network in 17 states across India. With strong R&D capabilities and one of the largest germplasms in the country, company produces and markets other field crops like Maize, Paddy Sunflower, Sorghum, Pearl millet and vegetable crops. Nuziveedu Seeds’ marketing team conducts farmer education programs on new agronomic practices to increase productivity.
