  • St. Louis, MO:Operation Food Search (OFS), a non-profit hunger relief organization, recently named Rick Stevens to its board.  Board members are eligible to serve two consecutive three-year terms.

     

    Stevens is the president of Christian Hospital, a member of BJC HealthCare.  He provides strategic leadership and oversees daily operations of the 485 licensed bed hospital located in north St. Louis County.  Stevens manages $60 million in renovations, new construction, and technology for Christian Hospital including the new Siteman Cancer Center.  He also serves as president of the Christian Hospital Foundation, which has funded two school-based health centers in north St. Louis County.

     

    Stevens has more than 25 years of health care experience.  He holds a master’s degree in public health from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tenn. and earned a bachelor’s degree from Tennessee State University.  He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and is board certified in healthcare management.

     

    “Rick is the perfect fit for our growing board,” said OFS’s Executive Director Kristen Wild.  “He understands our work and all that we do because his hospital is in the heart of one of many communities we serve.  Rick will be a tremendous asset to our organization based upon his extensive health care background, as well as his leadership capabilities.”
