In Haryana, arrival of paddy in the mandis of the state is in full swing. Over 43 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has already been arrived in various Mandis so far during the current Kharif season. this is about 8 lakh tonnes more than the arrival during the corresponding period last year.

A spokesman of Haryana Food and Supplies Department said that out of the total arrival of paddy, maximum quantity of paddy has arrived in district Kurukshetra which is over 8.68 lakh metric tonnes. Six government agencies have procured over 36.64 lakh metric tonnes of paddy while the remaining 6.45 lakh metric tonnes of paddy was procured by the millers.
