  • Mumbai : “The Smart Commute 2015” powered by Raymond concluded today at Sofitel, Mumbai – BKC. The Cycle2Work (C2W) Pic 2initiative saw over 700 cyclists participate from 7 different start-points from Mumbai & Navi Mumbai. This initiative, held on World Environment Day inspired, encouraged and motivated Mumbaikars to take to the streets and cycle2work.

    Firoza Suresh, Founder, Cycle2Work (C2W) presented 3 cyclists with high-end Firefox & Tern cycles worth Rs 25,000/- for taking part in the smart commute project. Mr. Ramdas Kadam, Environment Minister of Maharashtra and Mr. Rajiv Patil, First Mayor of Vasai & Virar were also present at the event to show their support towards this initiative.

    This initiative urges one to look beyond the health and environment benefits and take this ride to reduce the carbon footprint, making our city a better place to walk, bike, live and breathe! The endeavour is to create awareness and educate the citizens of Mumbai about the benefits of cycling to work.

    Firoza, Founder, Cycle2Work, said, “I am extremely happy with the tremendous response from the people of Mumbai. This is just a start of better and bigger things to come for us and the city. I would like to thank everyone who has supported this initiative and come along for the ride that’ll make the difference.”
