  • Pakistan troops resort to 2nd ceasefire violation within 12 hours

    ceasefireindopakDespite India’s stern warning, Pakistan continued to violate ceasefire along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir.

    In the latest, Pakistani Army targeted the forward posts in Kerni sector of Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district on Saturday afternoon.

    Indian troops retaliated to the firing. This is the second ceasefire violation in the last 12 hours.

    On Friday night, Pakistani troops targeted several Indian positions along the Line of Control in Naushera sector of Rajouri district.

    Pakistani forces started unprovoked firing on Indian positions at 9:25 Friday night which prompted the army to retaliate effectively.

    The exchange of fire lasted till 11:45 PM. However, so far, there is no report of loss of life or injury from the Indian side.

    In the wake of continuous ceasefire violations, India had warned Pakistan that while it stands by the Ufa sentiment, unprovoked firing from across the border would evoke an effective and forceful retaliation by Indian troops.
