New Delhi :  Adding on a new variant to the portfolio of large Plasma screens, Panasonic Corporation, the global leader in innovation and technology today announced the launch of world’s first ultra large 152-inch 3D Full High definition Plasma Display for the first time in India.

This unique product brings out the full potential of the plasma display to achieve powerful 3 dimensional effects and a feeling of total immersion that draws a viewer right into the image. With this unique offering, Panasonic adds another differentiator in its portfolio of flat panel displays.

The magnificent 152” screen is the world’s first development with a self-illuminating display, which produces approximately 4 times the amount of information (4,096 x 2,160 pixels) of a full HD panel (1,920 x 1,080). Even with its large screen size, the 4K2K display faithfully expresses bright, highly detailed content that fills the entire screen with lifelike images, even when watched from a relatively close viewing distance of 1.5 times the screen height.

The absolute beauty of this 152-inch 3D plasma display lies in ability to reproduce images with never before seen quality.

Sharing his views on the launch of the world’s largest 3D Full HD plasma display,   Manish Sharma, Director- Marketing, Panasonic India said “From 152-inch LCD to 19-inch full-HD 3D plasma display, Panasonic now offers its customers the widest range to choose from.  The152-inch 3D full HD plasma display launch is part of our commitment to bring the very best to our Indian customers be it in terms of technology, customer benefits and product innovation & styling.  The splendid mix of style and the cutting edge 3D technology in the plasma display enables a never before lifelike viewing experience enhanced further by the 152 inch size.”

“The launch is a part of the global strategy to create new viewing environments for our customers and also to create a new video industry based around 3D plasma displays by accelerating 3D-based innovations.” added Mr. Sharma.

To develop the new professional models, Panasonic has advanced its unique technologies employed in its VIERA Full HD 3D plasma televisions that were launched in the market this year. The technologies include an industry-highest native contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1 for overwhelming black reproduction; a high speed driving technology to achieve the PDP’s full moving picture resolution; and a crosstalk reduction technology, a crucial requirement for producing clear and crisp 3D images, priced Rs. 3.5 crore.
