  • Plymouth & Brockton Street Railway Company Announces Reduced Service Schedule to Support Efforts to Slow the Spread of COVID-19

    HYANNIS AND BOSTON, MA : Plymouth & Brockton Street Railway Company (www.p-b.com), an independently-owned transportation business serving the South Shore, Cape Cod, and Greater Boston area since 1888, will be running on a reduced service schedule to support efforts to slow the spread of COVID-19.

     Customers are urged to visit the website for new details on the bus schedule that is effective March 19, 2020 and until further notice. Hyannis to Boston & Logan Airport service with stops in Barnstable, Sagamore, Plymouth, Rockland and South Station, will be reduced to 6 trips daily in either direction. Hyannis to T.F. Green Airport in Warwick, RI, with stops in Barnstable, Sagamore, New Bedford and Fall River, will be reduced to 2 trips daily in either direction.

     “The health and safety of our drivers and our customer is our top priority during this pandemic,” said Winthrop Sargent, Chairman/CEO of Plymouth & Brockton. “We are working to balance the transportation needs of our region with the concerns about the spread of COVID-19. We are thoroughly cleaning our buses on a daily and nightly basis which includes disinfecting hard surfaces on the inside of each vehicle. We appreciate our very loyal passengers and we look forward to expanding our transportation routes soon.”
