  • PM addresses concluding session of Hindu-Buddhist conclave

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi travelled to Bodh Gaya in Bihar and visited one of the most important pilgrimage sites of Buddhists Modiand the place where Lord Buddha obtained enlightenment.

    Later, he addressed the concluding session of Hindu Buddhist conclave in Bodh Gaya. Prime Minister described Lord Krishna and Gautam Buddha as two great teachers and preachers of equality.

    In his speech, Prime Minister slammed radical elements for trying to force their ideologies on others and creating conflicts.

    Prime Minister also said that Gautam Buddha was a great teacher and that his teachings continue to help in sustaining the secular character of India.

    Prime Minister also thanked Japanese prime minister Shinzo Abe for his continuous support in organising an event like this.
