  • PM inaugurates super-speciality hospital in Katra

    ​ Prime Minister inaugurated Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Super Speciality Hospital at Katra which has been recently constructed at a cost of Rs. 300 PMinaugratedSMDVcrore.

    This state of the art facility developed by the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board has a capacity of 230-bed. It has been built in collaboration with Narayana Hrudayalaya in public-private partnership mode.

    The Superspeciality hospital comes at at cost of around Rs.300 crore and it has been operationalised from 8th April.

    The hospital has more than 20 different streams of medicine and surgery. People in the area are very happy with the opening of the hospital.

    PM Modi attended the convocation of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University.

    The Prime Minister also inaugurated a sports complex constructed by the Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board.

    The Complex is suitable for track and field events as well as team sports with a seating capacity of more than 10,000 spectators. It also has indoor sports facilities for Table Tennis and Shooting.

    In the last stop of his trip PM will address a rally. All the preparations regarding the visit of PM has been completed.

    Necessary timely arrangements and fool proof security and traffic arrangements have been made.

    The visit comes on the heels of Mehbooba taking charge of BJP-PDP alliance in the state recently.
