  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday hit out at the Opposition for insisting on evidence of the airstrike by Indian Air Force in Balakot.

    He also slammed the previous UPA government for its approach towards handling terror incidents post 26/11 Mumbai attacks.

    Addressing a rally in Greater Noida near Delhi after inaugurating several projects, Mr Modi said, now, India works on new methods and new policies to deal with terrorism.

    Mr Modi asserted that after the 2016 Uri terror attack, the country, for the first time, taught terrorists a lesson in a language they understand by way of surgical strikes.

    The Prime Minister said, the Centre has planned several development projects in the twin cities of Noida and Greater Noida, providing employment opportunities to lakhs of youth besides ensuring economic development.

    Earlier, the Prime Minister inaugurated Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya Institute of Archaeology in Greater Noida and also unveiled the statue of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya on the campus of the institute.

    He also laid the foundation stone of 1320 MegaWatt thermal power plant in Khurja, Bulandshahr from Greater Noida and for 1320 Mega Watt power plant in Buxar, Bihar via video link.

    Mr Modi said, a big airport is coming up at Jewar in Greater Noida providing air connectivity to various destinations.
