  • PM Modi terms development as solution to all problems

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that development is the solution of all problems, and India is the fastest growing country in the world.

    narendra-modiAddressing the Social Empowerment Camp at Navlakhi ground in Vadodara, Mr. Modi said that entire world including international institutions are praising the highest growth rate achieved by India. He said that this highest growth rate is achieved after two consecutive droughts due to poor monsoon.

    Prime Minister said that the people will live with pride and self respect when the fruits of developments will reach to them.

    Prime Minister said that the welfare of the poor people is at the center of government’s agenda. He said, the government is committed to the upliftment of poorest of the poor in the society.

    Expressing the sensitivity of his government towards the Divyangs – the persons with disablity, Mr. Modi said that previous government had organised 56 camps to provide assistive equipment to the disabled people, while his government has conducted 4500 such camps since May 2014.

    He said that more than 5.5 lakh divyangs have been provided assistive equipment during last two years. Prime Minister said that his govenment has revived the loss making research unit of equipment manufacturing for Divyangs, and now this research unit is not only running in full swing but also making profit by providing cost effective equipments for divyangs.

    Mr. Modi said that when his government assumed power at the center, about 16,500 posts of divyangs in the government were vacant. Now, his government has already completed the process of filling up 14,500 vacancies. Mr. Modi said that his government has made common sign language for divyangs, who can not speak or listen.

    Prime Minister said that his government has stopped the leakage of about 35,000 crore rupees in the country by giving direct credit of the subsidy to the real beneficiary. He said that recently, the people had disclosed the black money of 65,000 crore Rupees under the scheme which shows the confidence of the people in the government.

    Earlier, inaugurating the international terminal of Harni Airport of Vadodara, Prime minister said that his Government has formulated new aviation policy to match the growth in aviation sector. He said that more Airports will be developed under new aviation policy with public private partnership.

    He said that Harni Airport is the second modern eco-friendly and energy saving Airport after Kochi in Kerala. Prime Minister assured to set up new railway university in Vadodara. He also promised to modernize railway services in the country.
