“The Government of Karnataka’s commitment to enhance the state’s tourism potential is clearly reflected in the various initiatives aimed at attracting investors, as outlined in this budget. We look forward to the proposed revision of the state Tourism Policy for 2024-2029 and we hope that this will provide the much-required impetus to make the state a leading tourist destination. Moreover, the plan to partner with private sector players for the development and promotion of water sports, adventure tourism, and cable car/ropeway facilities in the state signifies a proactive approach. Additionally, the proposal to undertake research and restoration of archaeological monuments is likely to generate interest among potential tourists, further bolstering the state’s appeal as a preferred tourism destination. We sincerely look forward to a larger allocation of funds towards further improving Karnataka’s tourism infrastructure and last mile connectivity.”
