  • Power Gen India & Central Asia is gearing up for the Power Challenges of India’s 12th Plan

    New Delhi: POWER-GEN INDIA & CENTRAL ASIA 2011 is one of the leading International Exhibition & Conference on the Power industry which is slated to be held from 5th to 7th May 2011 in Pragati Maidan Exhibition Centre, New Delhi (India). Power-Gen would serve as a platform to showcase the new technologies and developmental plans for the power industry and would create a new step to bridge the gap between the demand and supply in power sector.

    Power Gen India & Central Asia is all set to gear up to fill the gaps for the power challenges – technical and logistical issues that are faced by the Indian government’s ambitious 12th year plan to modernize its power infrastructure. POWER-GEN India is also co-located with two new events for 2011 i.e Renewable Energy World India and HydroVision India. Together these events address India’s renewable energy and hydro power challenges respectively.

    The 9th edition of Power Gen Exhibition in India would bring together Technocrats, industry leaders, and senior government officials from central and state government as well as eminent experts from overseas, who have wide experience in the field of generation of power and its related sectors. The conference programs are scheduled for 3 days which would be hosted by the senior experienced personals from the industry and the conferences would highlight the problems, the policies & strategies which are being made to overcome those problems to attain a sustainable power future. More than 150 industry experts from 13 countries would be present in the conference. India is also rich in certain renewable sources of energy with significant future potential such as solar, wind and biofuels (jatropha, sugarcane). Despite its large annual energy production, India is in need of new technologies, system and development plans.
