  • New Delhi : Great heights can be achieved with time and efforts. This is well proven by Prayag, a leading bath fitting and sanitary ware company, which has recently re-branded itself and now after the re-positioning the company is ready to expand its edges and planning for new investments.

    Buoyed by robust demand in the domestic market, Prayag Exim Pvt. Ltd is planning to infuse fresh capital of Rs 50 crore to expand its retail presence by 200 per cent. A new manufacturing unit is being planned at Bhiwandi, Rajasthan with separate units for sink, PTMT bath assets, 316 steel faucets, cistern and seat covers. It will be spread over an area of 20,000 sq m.

    It plans to set up knowledge and display centres called Prayag Studios at Kolkata, Indore, Chennai, Delhi, Lucknow, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Vijayawada, according to Mr Nitin Agarwal, Director. The company is expecting growth this financial year, as compared to the last financial year.

    “In order to meet the robust demand in domestic market, we are going to increase our manufacturing capacity. We have plans to increase our sanitary ware capacity with a capital infusion of Rs 50 crore”, says, Mr. Aggarwal.

    With the commissioning of this plant, the company expects growth by next year. Also, last year, it had a turnover of Rs 60 crore and this year it is expecting growth over the last year. Besides catering to domestic market, the company also export to Gulf countries.

    Apart from capacity expansion, it is also increasing outsource division substantially which consists of showers, faucets and plastic fittings.
