Many people like discovering the gastronomic customs of other lands. So Visitbrussels and Brusselicious have joined forces to offer you the opportunity to take a trip into the mists of time, for the final themed dinner of the 2012 Year of Gastronomy!

The event marks the new exhibition ‘Prehistory – Do it Yourself!’ at the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences. Visitors will learn about prehistoric man’s daily life and they can even experience it at first hand: making tools,

tanning skins, hunting bison, and lighting a fire… just as our prehistoric ancestors once did!

But how did they cook? What and how did they eat? What did their food taste like?

The Prehistoric Dinner will largely answer all these questions. Moreover, although the way we cook today has changed a great deal, all the food to be served during the dinner was known thousands of years ago. Guests will enjoy the meal in an authentic ‘prehistoric’ environment.

After a prehisto-drink and visit of the exhibition, guests will make their way to a mineral (and comfortable!) dining room, which will host these would-be prehistorians and food fans.

Enjoy your trip down through the ages and above all enjoy your meal!
