  • Prestige CleanHome hosts ‘Clean Run Bengaluru 2020’ on National Cleanliness Day

    Bangalore: Prestige CleanHome, the cleaning solutions business of TTK Prestige, in conjunction with Let’s be the Change (LBTC), a non-profit organization,  today hosted a ‘Clean Run Bengaluru 2020’ to mark National Cleanliness Day on 30th January 2020.

    Sharath Gayakwad, the first Indian swimmer to qualify for the Paralympics and recipient of the Arjuna Award in 2015, also participated in the 3kms plog run. He was joined by over 150 Bangaloreans. Although a relatively new concept in India, plogging, which was originally started in Sweden, is an event that combines jogging with picking up litter.

    Commenting on the initiative, Mr. Dinesh Garg, EVP Sales and Marketing at Prestige CleanHome said: ‘’National Cleanliness Day is the perfect platform for us to give back to the community. We were pleased that so many Bangaloreans joined us in our endeavor to help keep the city clean. As a brand, we promote healthy living and this is just one in a series of initiatives that we are planning for 2020.’’

    The plog run showcases Prestige CleanHome’s commitment to becoming a more environmentally friendly company. The brand strives to drastically reduce dependence on plastic.

    Mr. Anirudh S Dutt, Founder, Let’s Be The Change, said: “We at Let’s Be The Change are always happy to conduct plogging activities for the betterment of Namma Bengaluru. We were amazed by the interest shown by participants for Clean Run Bengaluru 2020.”

    Mr. Sharath Gayakwad said: ‘’It was exciting to be involved in this activity to keep Namma Bengaluru clean, particularly on National Cleanliness Day.’’
