  • Prime Minister Modi unveils slew of gifts for eastern UP; Purvanchal Expressway among other projects inaugurated

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a two-day visit of Uttar Pradesh. His first stop was at Azamgarh where he laid the foundation stone of the Poorvanchal Expressway. He said that opposition parties had neglected this region. But the BJP government is now ensuring that development is fast tracked in Poorvanchal.

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of the 340 km long Poorvanchal Expressway in Azamgarh. This road will connect several towns of eastern UP, including Barabanki, Amethi, Sultanpur, Faizabad, Ambedkar Nagar, Azamgarh, Mau and Ghazipur – with the State Capital – Lucknow.

    Once this Expressway is complete, Delhi will be connected via the Expressway, to several major towns and cities of the State of Uttar Pradesh, from Noida in the west, to Ghazipur in the east. PM Modi said that this expressway will transform Poorvanchal and will boost tourism and employment opportunities in the state.

    Addressing the gathering, Prime Minister hit out at the Samajwadi party, BSP and the Congress for indulging in politics of convenience. Using the example of the Triple Talaq Bill, Prime Minister exposed the double face of the Congress Party.

    People of the region welcomed the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s development push.

    The gathering was also addressed by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The Chief Minister said that Expressway is part of long list of development projects launched by PM Modi for the welfare of people in Uttar Pradesh.

    Yogi also hit at out Samajwadi party and Congress for promoting dynastic politics in the name of Samajwad. He also said that development or ‘Vikas’ should not be linked with any political party, but development is only aimed at bringing a positive change in people’s lives.

    PM NARENDRA MODI IN VARANASI

    Prime Minister Modi dedicated to the nation and laid the foundation stone of important projects, cumulatively worth over Rs. 900 crore in Varanasi. He also flagged-off the Varanasi-Ballia daily EMU train.

    He laid the foundation stone for the Panchkoshi Parikrama Marg, and several projects under the Smart City Mission and Namaami Gange as well as the Varanasi City Gas Distribution Project. The Prime Minister also laid the Foundation Stone for an International Convention Centre in Varanasi.

    Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath released a book titled “Meri Kashi,” in the presence of PM Narendra Modi. The book gives glimpses of the extensive development work across Varanasi in the last four years.

    No part of the country remains untouched by the wave of transformation under the Modi government and on Saturday it was the turn of Poorvanchal to benefit from his Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas Mantra.
