  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate the newly built war memorial- Shaurya Smark to public in Bhopal this evening. The modiSmarak has been built by the Madhya Pradesh government on an about 13 acres campus.

    Various stages of life, war, death and victory over death have been displayed here. Besides this, tradition of Indian Soldiers’ valour and history has been exhibited in the Shaurya gallery. Our Bhopal correspondent reports that Mr. Modi will also address a meeting of former-servicemen titled Shaurya Samman Sabha.

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi will meet ex-servicemen and relatives of martyrs during Shaurya Samman Sabha at Lal Parade, which will be the first programme of his visit. Defense Minister Manohar Parrikar will be accompanying him. After the meeting, Mr. Modi will go to meet Jain seer Acharya Vidya Sagar Maharaj, who is staying in a Jain Temple at Habibganj locality.

    After this, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the Shaurya Smarak built at Arera Hills. He will visit the different galleries of Shaurya Smarak. The Bhopal Municipal Corporation has put up hoardings of Prime Minister Narendra Modi depicting him as Rashtra Nayak at prominent places and main squares have been beautifully decorated to welcome him. Elaborate security arrangements have been made for the visit. A half day leave after 2 P.M. has been announced for all the state government employees in Bhopal today.

    Mr. Modi will leave for Goa in the evening.
