New Delhi : Around 13.5 lakh hectares of land have been brought under cultivation of pulses so far during the current sowing season in various parts of the country.
According to data released by the Agriculture Ministry, the cultivated area is about 10 lakh hectare, more than the corresponding period of the last year.
The Ministry has set a target of sowing pulses in nearly 17.5 lakh hectare area for the current season. The highest area of cultivation has been reported from Odisha followed by Bihar.
