    Published on September 27, 2010

UAE’s now relaunched RAK Airways has announced to resume services in two new routes, Calicut (Kozhikode) and Jeddah, by next month.

The re-birth of the airline would play a pivotal role in the promotion of the emirate as a destination in its own right, RAK Airways Chairman, Sheikh Omar Bin Saqr Al Qassimi said.

The new brand of RAK Airways was also unveiled at the launch to coincide with the re-launch.

Flights to the new destinations are scheduled to start on 10th October.

The airline said that future destinations are being considered in the GCC, Levant, Indian sub-continent and Commonwealth of Independent States.

“Although our fares are extremely competitive we are focused on providing a value offering that differentiates itself from the low cost carriers. For instance, on every flight to and from Jeddah and Calicut, seats will be priced starting from AED 10,” RAK Airways Chief Executive Officer Omar Jahameh said.
