What does success look like to you?
Is success purely monetary? Is it based in numbers only?
In Hawaii, it most certainly is not. A place rooted in community and culture, success is measured by the health and wellness of our neighbours, our land and our keiki.
Lailan Bento knows this more than anyone else.
She is a renowned real estate broker and marketer and was the Rookie of the Year award winner. An experienced real estate professional and the principal broker at ‘Hawaiߵi Development Group’, a leading Hawaii real estate company, Lailan brings a voice to the table when it comes to development and success in Hawaii real estate.
She began her career working in the Hawaii governor’s office, gaining unparalleled experience in community service and worked hard to establish her presence as a dedicated, honest, and committed woman in the business world.
She dedicated part of her career to giving back to the community that helped raise her to become the person she is today. She is the co-founder and principal broker for Hawaiߵi Development Group, a top Hawaii real estate company. Through her leadership, the company has built a reputation for offering affordable and sustainable homes.
During her mission, Lailan has faced many issues while trying to make her dreams a reality. Whether it was attempting to make a space for herself in the competitive real estate industry or simply trying to have the voices and concerns of her community heard, Lailan quickly realized the road to success would be paved with challenges but nevertheless she prevailed.
One way she kept momentum was by focusing on charity.
“Giving back to my community is important to me, and I consider this a responsibility of mine,” insists Bento.
Lailan’s achievements in real estate and her community contributions have earned her several awards in her industry. Now she wants to motivate others to walk her path.
Lailan founded a non-profit group that seeks to raise funds to send local kids to private schools and colleges. She aims to help them acquire the best education available and make their dreams a reality. Bento is also working hard to become a developer. She also has started three new companies in 2022 through which she aims to build sustainable developments while using her skills and financial gains to help her community.
