  • ROI Corporation brokers sale of Wilson Brothers HVAC of Pepperell, MA

    Published on April 4, 2021

ROCKLAND and PEPPERELL, MA: ROI Corporation (http://roibusinessbrokers.com), a leading firm for the transfer of ownership of businesses, today announced the recent sale of Wilson Brothers HVAC of Pepperell, MA.

This sale adds to the many HVAC and plumbing companies ROI has brokered over the years. Wilson Brothers was established in 1987 and employs 34 people in its Pepperell MA location. The family business was run by three brothers: Thomas, Paul and John and all three plan to remain with the company post sale to assure the same high quality of service. It is that reputation for excellent service that allowed them to grow quickly and become a popular regional service provider. After decades of successfully leading the company’s growth from the ground up the owners decided it would be best served by a larger organization. The new owners will expand, and add jobs, while maintaining the same (removed the word family) management team.

ROI brokered the sale through a controlled informal auction process, viewed by most M&A professionals as the best means of offering successful companies for sale. Wilson Brothers HVAC was sold to a parent company which had previously acquired several similar firms: Murphy’s Air Conditioning HVAC and Plumbing of Cape Cod, and Baker Elman Plumbing in Newton. The parent company’s CEO is Michael Ford.

Gary Rayberg, president of ROI, has sold about 30 HVAC and Plumbing companies in recent years. He recalled that Thomas Wilson was referred to ROI Corporation through an industry wholesale supplier, Air Purchase Industries.  “Air Purchase Industries has always had a very holistic approach to helping their customers and a referral to ROI (An HVAC Business Broker) was just another way they show they care.  Wilson Brothers’ practically turnkey operation, large residential service component and modern training facilities made this a fantastic addition to a ultra-high quality regional service provider looking to grow their footprint.”

Thomas Wilson said, “The sale hasn’t made much difference in my day-to-day life since I’m staying on for the next year or more to ensure a smooth transition, but it does feel nice knowing that there is a light at the end of the tunnel thanks to ROI Corporation. They were professional from beginning to end and I’m very happy with the company that ultimately purchased the business.”

Mike O’ Neal Esq. of Schlossberg LLC represented Wilson Bros and  Ahmed, Shayan A  of Bass, Berry and Simms, represented the Buyer in the transaction.
