New Delhi: After making a mark in the Indian Art market, locally as well as abroad, Sanchit Art opened its doors to Delhi art lovers on 7th August, 2013. The inaugural show ‘Group Exhibition by Sanchit Art’ showcases works by well known artists such as Satish Gujral, Ganesh Pyne, Jogen Chowdhury, Sakti Bumrna, K. Laxma Goud, Surya Prakash, Lalu Prasad Shaw, Dipak Banerjee, Suhas Roy, Neeraj Goswami, Paresh Maity, Jayasri Burman, Jaya Ganguly, Maite Delteil, Manoj Dutta, Chandra Bhattacharjee, Yusuf Arakkal, Shuvaprasanna, Shipra Bhattacharya, P. Gopinath, Anwar Khan, Sanjay Bhattacharya, Sunil Kumar Das and Himmat Shah.

The gallery began operations with the 1st gallery in Agra at ITC Hotel – The Mughal. Promoted by Sunil Joshan, Sanchit Art has the best of modern and contemporary Indian masters and cherishes the large gallery collection that has been built up over the years, which provides buyers and collectors a good choice of works.

On the opening in Delhi, Joshan said, “We at aim to promote the best of modern and contemporary Indian art. Now with our presence in the capital, we shall continue to present anexquisite range of paintings by masters of the new era for art lovers.” The gallery has taken its curatorial direction under the aegis of Arun Ghose one of country’s most respected curator, historian. He also has authored several books on leading Indian artists.

Spread over 1600 square feet, the gallery contains a modern viewing system along with facilities for display and appreciation of conventional as well as new age mediums. The gallery aims primarily to offer a panoramic review of contemporary Indian art with a state of the art visible storage system.
