  • Sevmorput nuclear cargo ship completed her voyage to the Far East

    Moscow – Sevmorput nuclear cargo ship operated by Atomflot, a Rosatom company, reached Nakhodka Port on November 24. Her voyage from St. Petersburg took 22 days. The ship delivered breakbulk cargo for the Rooppur NPP project, Bangladesh.

    “The nuclear cargo ship has successfully navigated from St. Petersburg”, noted Leonid Irlitsa, First Deputy Director General for Navigation, Atomflot. “With the assistance from our Naval Operations HQ, the Captain could follow the best itinerary and cross the Northern Sea Route without any delay. The ice conditions in some areas were nearly severe, but with the vessel’s outstanding performance and the skilled crew the voyage was completed”.

    Sevmorput nuclear cargo ship delivered 1,400 tons of nuclear power plant freight to Nakhodka. She will be moored soon for unloading.
