A unique worldwide launch of Signature Collection of “Earth 21” by globally acclaimed Couturier and Environmentalist Amy Billimoria witnessed Support and participation from celebrities and activists from over 200 countries joining hands in the launch event,with legendary icon Shoaib Akhtar as the global Eco ambassador walking the ramp for Earth 21.

Legendary Icon  Shoaib Akhtar as the global Eco  ambassador for initiative “Earth 21” & for the first time ever walked the ramp for the acclaimed  Designer Amy Billimoria wearing a linen jacket teamed with denims & a shirt. The show was ably  supported by actor chef Amrita Raichand at one of Mumbai’s largest premium lifestyle shopping malls, Phoenix Market City kurla

Band InDiva specially performed Earth Anthem as the opening act. Band INDIVA consisting of Merlin D’souza, Vivienne Pocha, Hamsika Iyer, and Shruti Bhave performing live flaunting resort wear attire designed by Amy using stretch cotton blends in ethereal whites to create a BoHo chic look!

The collection is a prêt range of co-ordinates which includes fluid palazzo pants, crop tops, draper tops with variating  length, very funky and cool summer couture inspired by the true elements of nature, the various aspects of mother earth, and the color palette is vast and arid included fern greens, burnt roses with a tinge of yellow and gold.

Supporting the cause in a big way is legendary cricketer & fastest bowler in the world Shoaib Akhtar who will be seen sporting an attire specially designed using eco friendly fabrics promoting the cause. Amy talks about her design for the cricketer, “It’s a linen jacket teamed with denims & a shirt. The styling is very contemporary and Young!”

Amy Billimoria adds, “Earth 21 is a unique EcoArtFashion initiative closest to my heart. It’s a unique fashion concept wherein Ecofriendly & bamboo fiber blends have been used to create classic styles & with the sale of every outfit I take a pledge to plant  little sapling and nurture it till It grows into a tree…it’s a small step to save the planet & I hope we can make a difference.”

Shoaib Akhtar exclaimed, “Really, it all began with Earth Day and the ability to have a grassroots movement that demanded that we keep people safe while we continue to grow the economy. Having said this, I am overwhelmed on being approached to be the brand ambassador of this fantastic initiative by Amy Billimoria ably supported by Amrita Raichand. “

The legendary Shoaib Akhtar cricketer adds, “I hereby pledge to plant a sapling & nurture it till it becomes a tree. I proudly present my association with Earth 21 & I believe this is a step towards bringing a change. We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors; we borrow it from our children.”

Amrita Raichand as the co-host of the show exclaims, “Earth 21…my friend & designer Amy Billimoria’s initiative is very close to my heart. I always wanted to work towards better environment for our children, our future & couldn’t have asked for a better opportunity for the same.”

The core essence of Earth 21 lies in the idea that with every outfit sold in this line Amy will donate a tree to mother earth, “Every little step contributes to the bigger picture.”
