    Mumbai: Siemens for the first time is participating at this event & would be focusing on end-to-end portfolio which covers the entire drive train spectrum: From Source to Shaft.     The Drive Technologies division has a basket that not only caters to standard products but also offers products attuned to specific applications, systems and the solutions thereof. The gamut of products range from Gear Boxes to converters. Hence all business needs can be met only through one manufacturer thus saving time & cost associated with working with a number of manufacturers. The product basket is capable of fulfilling all requirements from minute to large projects; from general to specialized ones. All business requirements can me net under one roof. With a strong technological base, German engineered products, all needs can be served – from Source to Shaft!

    Flender Ltd. merged with Siemens Ltd as a Business Unit of Drive Technologies division in April 2010. Siemens now have a comprehensive end-to-end portfolio covering the entire drive train, thereby uniquely positioning Siemens as a “one stop solution provider”. Siemens has steadily enhanced the synergies of both the organizations & its people and is currently working together smoothly, to provide their valued customers with some of the best integrated solutions in the mechanical drives segment.

    Another important aspect is the manufacturing strength. With start of the art facilities, Siemens factories can be called as “Centre of Competence”. Also the geographical spread of industries, all customers from various regions can be effectively reached at.

    Siemens has also started manufacturing large Gearboxes & Geared motors from the Chennai plant in order to reduce the timelines & reach out to the customers locally. This “Advantage India” concept will help Siemens reach out to the customers in a far more effective manner as well as help bring in a high degree of flexibility & reliability. In order to introduce high quality technology at competitive costs, it is imperative to build on the strengths locally & this factory is a step forward in the same direction.

    Siemens Drive Technologies (DT) division is a part of the Industry Sector of Siemens Ltd. This division has been enhancing customer productivity and efficiency in industries ranging from aerospace, automobiles, and oil and gas to plastics, packaging, logistics and material handling.
