The South Shore Chamber of Commerce recently held a ribbon cutting for HardKore Athletic Performance Center which opened an elite, state-of-the-art athletic performance training center for groups, open gym, team training and group rentals at 22 Reservoir Park Drive, Unit 4  in Rockland, MA.

The training center features three separate areas that include a gym, fully separate and enclosed playing field and an area for the Hardkore Performance Testing and offers professionally coached classes. The facility brings the nationally recognized Zybek Sports, the Official Timing System of the NFL and the USA Olympic Teams, to New England.

The gym is equipped with TRX Training® which brings individual training for everyone from beginners in a fitness program to elite athletes in training. The facility also offers Keiser Pneumatic Technology which allows the muscles to remain active and engages throughout the entire range of motion and velocities, with reduced shock loading to muscles, connective tissues and joints allowing for workout regimens that can safely improve physical performance in ways not seen with traditional strength-training methods.

The training center has also invested in Technogym adaptive running surface treadmills. The running surface adapts to the way an individual runs and absorbs impact efficiently, shielding joints at lower speed and offering more reactivity during sprints.

The gym features Power Lift equipment for strength training and weight training. The high grade equipment is used by the U.S. Olympic Teams, professional sports teams and elite military teams.
