  • SPG launches “SPREAD THE WORD, SEE THE WORLD”, A referral campaign on linkedin

    NEW DELHI : Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG®), the award-winning loyalty program from Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc.  , has launched an innovative campaign on LinkedIn to engage professionals who are mega travellers with a passion for travel and exclusive experiences. The campaign, ‘Spread the word, see the World’, leverages the power of the highly influential and growing member-base of the world’s largest professional networking site, LinkedIn in India.

    Through LinkedIn’s Application Protocol Interfaces (APIs), the campaign enables SPG members in India to recommend the membership program to their professional connections on LinkedIn. The driving force behind SPG’s campaign is to start new relationships via new member sign-ups for the award winning loyalty program, while rewarding existing loyal members.

    “SPG goes beyond gaining and redeeming points, it’s about building a deeper relationship with our guests. We want to make travel more rewarding for our members and offer exclusive experiences and offers that allow them to share their passion for travel.     To register for the campaign, LinkedIn members can simply sign in to their LinkedIn account and refer the program to their professional connections. LinkedIn members will be rewarded every time their referred connections book a stay at any of the 1100+ Starwood hotels and resorts across nine distinctive brands in nearly 100 countries. As always, SPG members will also earn Free Night Awards and Award Flights — both without blackout dates — along with other benefits.
